Latvia Residence Permit State Fees: The Full 2026 List
Every state fee in a Latvian investment residence case fits in one table — and here it is, current as of 2026, per applicant where marked. We are CORVUS, an attorney-at-law office in Riga; the full cost guide builds complete budgets, while this page is the quick-reference card.

Alongside the state's fees sits one recurring private cost the rules require: a medical insurance policy from a local insurer, roughly EUR 50 per person per year. Stamp and notary costs on a property registration add a few hundred euro, once.
Three Notes That Save Money
Expedited review rarely pays in investor cases. The EUR 280 and EUR 560 tiers accelerate the formal review only — not the mandatory security check that actually sets investor timelines. The one expedite we recommend almost universally is the cheapest: the EUR 80 urgent card, which compresses the final Riga trip for the price of a dinner.
Fees are per person — plan the family multiplication. A family of four at standard speeds pays EUR 640 in review fees and EUR 180 in cards at application, then EUR 480–1,480 per year in registrations. Predictable to the euro, but only if multiplied before budgeting rather than after.
The big fees are one-off and route-dependent. EUR 12,500 at the property threshold (5% of EUR 250,000) plus EUR 3,750 registration — against a flat EUR 10,000 on the share-capital route. The minimum-investment breakdown shows what each route totals all-in; the asymmetry between a percentage and a flat fee is worth understanding before choosing a route, not after.
All figures are statutory, reviewed annually, and checkable against the law — which is exactly how numbers about money should arrive.
